2014 Peugeot 208 Hatchback ReviewDecember 10, 2014
Driving catastasis is not pleasant in this car, because you have to look over the steering for the instruments, rather than viewing it through, therefore this cannot be happening for numbers of people on driving seat. The touch screen system is utterly depressing, because you have to scribble your finger across the touch screen, which cannot be performed with acute perfection every single time on the move.
Front space is quite comfy, so are the rear space, but the headspace is not adequate enough. In panoramic sunroof models inadequate headspace is the problem. Boot space is smartly designed, and is sufficient, but you have to buy the mid-spec models to get the folding rear seats, for enhancing the boot space.
Primary level models are geared up with a stylish music player, cruise control and remote locking. The Access+ models are enriched with air conditioning feature along with the mentioned. Active models contain the Bluetooth, alloy wheels and touch screen, while the Allure models are geared up with automatic wipers, lights and climate control. If you are fond of sporty look, then you can go for the Feline models, which contain extravagant sporty appearance in and outside.
The 1.2-liters petrol engine is high in performance. If you are willing to explore with more speed, then you can choose the 1.6-liters petrol or diesel engines, which are ready to give you an amazingly fast experience on roads.
On road experience is not that much captivating, because the suspension clambers to adjust with the smudgy road surfaces. The steering is light weighted and gives decent control at higher speeds. The body control is also not much convincing by any means.
Though there is no wind and road noise, but you can hear the suspension working away over the protuberance. There is another problem i.e. the gearshift is a bit castellated and improper, which cannot give you a soothing driving experience. The 81bhp 3-cylinder is quite noisy at higher speeds.
This car is geared up with extravagant fuel economy feature, which attracts most of the people, who are willing to own a car at low running costs. The interior is made with top notch materials, which give it a classy and elite look. It comes with stability control, front, side and curtain airbags in all the variants. This car has proudly earned the 5-star rating in the crash test conducted by Euro NCAP. Alarm feature is optional on top models.
