2014 Mitsubishi Outlander ReviewOctober 27, 2014
The Mitsubishi Outlander of 2014 is not that appealing in looks but is comfortable and an efficient vehicle. This is a utility vehicle that appeals to the families directly.
Before the models of this car used to be blunt with shark nosed front end. The models now are practical and simple without any unfocused exterior look. They are elegant and have no bulbous front end styling and sporty look. This car has a simple interior with modest layout and trims which are very tasteful in appearance.
The goal of Mitsubishi is to influence the families and those who are not so fashion savvy. The former Outlander was a better drive even though it was heavy and designed for the back roads. The Outlander now is light in weight and the structure is made of high tensile steel. This car is fun to drive and might be even a bit faster than the previous models. This car is in competition with the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4 and the Nissan Rogue.
This car has 2.4 liter four cylinder engines with 166 horse power which includes a variable valve lift as well as timing. It has a continuously variable automatic transmission which feels perky. The GT models have a V6 engine producing a horse power of 224 hp. The fuel used in this car is premium fuel which does not develop very much torque unless you rev it. Although the six speed automatic drive with paddle shifters is good.
The previous models had an aggressive approach towards styling and driving attributes but the simple 2014 model proved to be a success. There are three models which come with our new 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander, the SE, ES and GT models. The best value in lineup is found in SE models.
This car has incorporated things like roof groves that help in providing smooth airflow while in speed in a highway. It has an electric power steering system and rear suspension geometry that helps in noise reduction. This is a low priced vehicle and offers three rows of seating which feels warm and accommodating. It has a lot of features including a Forward Collision Mitigation which signals you about an obstacle or other vehicle and then applies brake till it stops. It also has Lane Departure Warning and Adaptive Cruise Control features. This car has been ranked as the safest car and has been given five star rating.
