2014 Volkswagen Beetle Cabriolet Review

Turbocharged diesel engine includes 148bhp 2.0 and a 103bhp 1.6 while turbo petrol options include 197bhp 2.0, 158bhp 1.4 and the lastly the 103bhp 1.2 litres. The 1.2 one may give you the weedy acceleration, 1.4 will surely be best if you are in urgency and the 1.6 version will be free revving and quite smooth. But in case you want responsive and punchy ride the 2.0 ones can be used.
Although it provides the multi-link rear suspension but then also the ride remains a bit unsettled. But you can get the smoother ride at higher speeds.
This car is impressively calm. You will not disturb by the wind and road noises. To minimize the buffering down with the roof, a large plastic wind blocker is added.
You can’t afford luxury at cheap prices. The beetle cabriolet is not cheap not expensive as its worth. The resale value is a bit weak. But still it avails the competitive price as the fuels and tax will be low.
Although the reliability is good but then too the plastic and the use of the hard body color panels in place of soft-touch material creates no classy looks for the cabin view. The controls are easy to read and solid.
Cabriolet will surely keep you well-protected. Standard airbags and stability controllers are provided for the safety of the passenger. For making it secure from the thief, deadlocks, alarm, marked parts and visible VIX are used.
Behind the wheel view of Volkswagen beetle cabriolet is quite inspirational. The dashboard is painted with the same car body color. Everything is well-managed and is user-friendly laced with modern controls and switches.
Plenty of leg and headroom for the passengers of the front seat but the rear ones will not be so delighted. Tight legroom and the poorly designed fabric of roof might make you feel claustrophobic. The size of the boot is large but the shape is irregular.
Alloys, Bluetooth, body colored dashboard, CD-charger and USB inputs are the featured equipment that are of great utility. Apart from this, the multifunctional steering wheel is provided with the black and white touch-screen system to make the operation more convenient and easy to use by the person on the driving seat.
