2014 Mercedes Benz C-Class Estate Review

It comes with a C220 Bluetec diesel engine which gives a swift performance. It is gutsy from low revs but it will cost you extra. You have to keep your revs up in C220 diesel engine and you have to really work hard with the engine to get it briskly.
It comes with an optional Airmatic suspension. It will give you a comfortable drive. The body control is very impressive and there are many standard suspension set ups but none of it gives a smooth ride.
The diesel engine transmits a lot of vibration into the cabin. The C220 petrol engine is pretty coarse by standard. You have to encounter wind noises and road noises on the drive way.
Benz C class estate is expensive to buy. If you stick to the manual gearbox you will experience lower carbon dioxide emissions. Resale values are estimated to be strong.
Very few cars in the same class have a plush interior more than Benz C. The overall quality is good and many of the buttons and controls are solid. AMG line versions are classiest with a dashboard wrapped in manmade leather.
It comes with a system which automatically applies brakes preventing you from an accident. There are also 7 airbags for protection to accidents. An alarm and an engine immobiliser protects you car from thieves.
You can do lot of adjustments to the seat and steering wheel. Visibility is good and it comes with a 7 screen touch screen system. Menus are not very intuitive and it can be tricky to handle touch pad while driving.
There is a lot of legroom in the front and models with a panoramic glass roof have a lot of headroom for front seat occupants. The roof cuts the headroom a little for those in the rear seats but still there is ample of space for six footers. The boot is not large but you will get a good space for your luggage. You can easily fold the rear seats. Just pull the lever and the seatbacks will drop and lie flat.
It comes with a 16 inch alloy wheels, climate and cruise control, manmade leather seats, rain-sensing wipers, reversing camera and a DAB radio. It also has front and rear parking sensors.
