2014 Citroen C3 Picasso Review

Four engine ranges are available for C3 Picasso; 94bhp 1.4 and 118bhp 1.6 petrols, 89bhp and 113bhp 1.6 diesels. The 1.4 petrol engine gives you a good ride at normal average speeds but gets problematic at high speeds. For high speed driving, 1.6 petrol engine is the best option. Diesels give great power without much revving.
The C3 gives a perfect ride due to the perfectly working suspension. It is smooth to drive which sometimes also causes the car to jump up and down on bumps and irregular roads. The car doesn’t show these symptoms at turns and bends though. The steering works great with easy handling at both high and low speeds.
Wind noise can occur around the windscreen in normal models but the Exclusive models have roof bars to resist the noise as much as possible. C3 Picasso is in general not too noisy a car among the competitors. Road noise and engine noise are mostly barred. The long-throw gearbox is not the best in terms of quietness, though.
The C3 Picasso is not so pocket-friendly but plenty of discounts are available for you to get the best price. The petrol engines give a good fuel economy while that is not entirely applicable to diesel engines. The diesel engines, however, are good in giving you a low company car tax rates. However, the car doesn’t have much resale value.
Front airbags are available in all the models but sadly curtain airbags and stability control are available only in some models and cost you extra money. Deadlocks, an immobilizer and marked parts are available to prevent theft.
Picasso gives you a nice classy looking cabin with metallic parts in designing. The dashboard doesn’t apply the common soft-touch plastic but still it gives a beautiful look with perfect texturing. Forward vision is over the top perfection due to thin pillars and wrap-around windscreen. A wide variety of seat and steering wheel adjustments are also available for the drivers.
Remote central locking, CD player, front electric window are available in all models. VTR+ trim adds up air-con, alloy wheels and rear electric windows to the standard features. High-spec ranges have some luxurious specs like electric folding door mirrors, rear parking sensors and climate control. These specs are quite expensive though.
