2014 AUDI A3 Cabriolet Review

Revving up 1.4 litres engine can require some hard work for a quick progress. But it has a smooth run in lower revs and its performance is acceptable. The 178 bhp 1.8 litres turbo petrol engine offers great and effortless acceleration at all the gears. Diesel engine also pulls hard from lower revs.
It comes with 3 suspension setups- lower sport, SE and lower still S line. SE gives the best balance and you can specify this without any additional cost. It offers a comfortable ride with a good grip and steering.
With roofs down and windows up, the fronts are secures from buffeting, therefore you can erect wind deflector over the rear seats. You can fir these deflectors if there are people sitting at the back seat and at this point things can get blowy.
Prices are on a higher side but have a good resale value. All the engines are very efficient and it offers a lower carbon dioxide emissions.
The cabin is built with nice material, something which you will expect to get in an executive saloon. It has a light weighted switch gear. The slim infointment screen adds a great impression. But Audi’s reliability record is less impressive but far from being terrible.
All the versions come with a stability control and curtain bags in front and side too. Audi’s Pre sense system can cost an extra which automatically takes care of the safety kit if collision seems inevitable.
Audi’s Multi Media Interface enables you to control many of A3’s major functions through a central control dial and comes with lesser buttons. The system is simple and there are several shortcut keys permitting you an easy control. People of all sizes will find a comfortable driving position with steering wheel adjustments.
The back does not offer a huge amount of space. Rear headroom is also not great and has a closed roof. Audi A3 has a bigger boot ad compared to the Volkswagen Gold Cabriolet and has a split folding rear seat helping you carry long items.
SE model is the best and comes with alloy wheels of 16 inch, a DAB radio, air conditioning, Bluetooth, wipers and automatic lights. It has an insulated roof with dual zone climate control and lesser sport suspension.
