Started in 2002 as a 5-door SUV, Lincoln aviator, as the name suggests, was produced by the Lincoln division of Ford Motor Company. However, this car didn’t see much life as along with a few other models it was the shortest produced car by Lincoln in the timeframe 2002- 2005. Aviator had much in common with its brother, Lincoln Navigator and was made on the same platform as Ford Expedition which somehow worked negatively for it. Made on the Ford U1 platform, Aviator had 4.6 L DOHC Modular V-8 engine as standard with some other nice features. Saying all, the car didn’t gross much for Lincoln which led to its shutdown for Lincoln’s good.
