Mercury division of the Ford Motor Company was started in 1938 and went on successfully making different varieties of cars till 2011 when Ford shelved it to focus on other labels. It made a car which made decent sales for all the years it existed, i.e. 1996-2010. Mountaineer came as a mid-size luxury SUV in the market and worked up well with added features in successor cars. 2004-2005 Mountaineer models came under second generation. This revised car had new luxury features like faux brushed metal trim, rear ceiling air vents and radio deck. This generation brought high sales with its cars for Mountaineer. The platform used was Ford U1. Mountaineer’s Premier trim had noticeable upgrades like rear ceiling air vents, body color bumpers and many more.
